National Council on Civic Engagement
The National Council on Civic Engagement are champions of public service leadership and ambassadors for the future of civic service.
Through investments of their resources, time, and influence, individuals invited to join the National Council are committed to furthering the legacy of President Truman and his commitment to building the next generation of public service leaders. Council members are ambassadors making inroads and connections, allowing Friends of the Truman Foundation to strengthen our work.
National Council members take part in a number of exclusive events and opportunities. These include:
- Invitations to private events with senior leaders
- Private briefings with members of the Friends network including elected and appointed officials, industry leaders, and others
- Invitation to an annual public summit with thought leaders and influencers as we discuss the future of public service and approaches to increase civic engagement and education
- Public recognition at Friends events and within the Friends network of over 4,000 members
